Subluxation: Etiology of the word = to produce less light. Subluxation is the "End Product" of an overwhelming amount of physical, chemical, emotional, mental and social stress. As a result of overwhelming stress, the body will distort the tone of muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, meninges, and connective tissue to lock the subluxation into our anatomy (structure). Flexibility: When we talk about flexibility, we mean all aspects: Flexibility with our physical anatomy, emotional expressions, mental processes, and social experiences; all of which have to do with our ability to integrate experiences. Retracing: Retracing is a phenomenon that may occur as the healing process unfolds. Many times, before the body can get well, it must first backtrack to where it started losing its normal state of health. During the backtracking process, the body may experience or exhibit many of the symptoms or characteristics it displayed on its way to sickness and disease. This normal process is called "Retracing." This means that your physical body may relive the old injuries, symptoms, or ailments, as it starts to let go of the old, non-constructive patterns caused by the initial trauma. You may re-experience symptoms that have "gone away" a long time ago. When a person retraces, it does not mean the person is sick again. It is simply the body's way of expressing itself in the most expedient way. Whether or not your body retraces…correcting the cause of your problem will lead you to the highest state of health possible.
